37-year-old Toyonaga Tomohiro from Nagasaki, Japan, stands at 190 cm and weighs 120 kg. He has been passionate about golf since the age of 15. After graduating from high school, he began professional training at the Grandage Golf Club in Nara Prefecture with the goal of becoming a professional player. He has always excelled in driving distance, stating, “In terms of long drives, I’ve never lost to anyone.” Later, due to health reasons, Toyonaga Tomohiro transitioned to becoming a golf coach, continuing his love for long drive sports. In 2018, he participated in his first official long drive event and made it to the top eight. In 2019, he won the Japan Long Drive Championship. This year, he set a new personal best of 443 yards and believes there is still room for improvement. In this year’s WLD World Long Drive Championship, Tomohiro finished in 17th place. “Next year, we will continue to challenge and let the world feel the power of the Asian Long Drive King,” said the 2024 Asian Long Drive Champion with great confidence.
