March 20, 2026 — The Organizing Committee of the China Long Drive Championship, in collaboration with the MAX CAIHONG Initiative – pravite fund foucs on investing on golf industry, officially announces the launch of a landmark new event: the 2026 MAX CAIHONG City Long Drive Super League.
As a major innovation within China’s long drive competition framework, the Super League marks a significant evolution from individual-based competition to a team-oriented format. It is designed to establish a higher-standard competitive platform while accelerating the diversification and popularization of golf across China.
Event Positioning: A Strategic Transition to Team Competition
Since its inception, the Long Drive China Championship has been committed to advancing the sport of long drive, becoming one of the most authoritative and influential professional event brands in China.
In 2026, the competition system will adopt a dual-track structure:
First Half of the Year: Launch of the City Long Drive Super League (team-based competition)
Second Half of the Year: Continuation of the Long Drive China Championship (individual competition), commencing in July
This strategic expansion introduces city-based team competition, aiming to unite regional golf communities while elevating competitive standards, tactical depth, and audience engagement.
Each team will also be permitted to include one international player, further enhancing global exchange and raising the competitive standard of the league.
League Structure: A National Elite Tour
The Super League will follow a structured seasonal format:
Schedule: Four national tour stops plus one national finals, totaling five key events
Host Cities: Qingdao, Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen

Finals Location: To be announced
Competitions will be staged in prominent central business districts, enhancing accessibility and public engagement.
Technology Integration:
The league will exclusively utilize a custom-developed competition mode on simulators provided by official technology partner GOLFZON. Combined with large-scale public displays and multi-platform live streaming, the event is designed to maximize visibility, audience reach, and commercial value.
Competition System: Fairness with Strategic Depth
The league introduces a professionally designed competition framework:
Participation Model:
A hybrid system of invitation and open registration. The inaugural stop will be invitation-only, with subsequent events open to registration. A total of 10–12 elite teams will be maintained throughout the season to ensure competitive quality.
Team Composition:
Each team may register one international player, creating opportunities for top long drive athletes worldwide to participate and compete alongside domestic players.
Core Format:
Matches will follow a team distance challenge format using a best-of-five system.
An innovative captain’s alternating selection mechanism will be implemented, adding tactical complexity and enhancing match dynamics.
Qualification System:
A season-long points system (excluding the first stop) will determine rankings. Accumulated points will decide qualification for the national finals, ensuring consistency, fairness, and sustained competition throughout the season.
Incentive Structure: RMB 1 Million Prize Pool

To reward excellence and encourage high-level competition, the league features a total prize pool of RMB 1 million:
