The 2024 Asia Long Drive Championship will be held from November 14-16, 2024, at Phuket Airpark in Phuket, Thailand. Competitors will vie for titles in three divisions: Open Division, Women’s Division, and Masters Division (ages 45+). The event will conclude with the crowning of the 2024 Champion of Asia.

As the premier event organized by the Asia Long Drive Association (ALDA), the Asia Long Drive Championship 2024 invites top players from across Asia and the Asia-Pacific region to compete.

Eligibility
Participation is exclusively open to registered ALDA members from Asian countries and the Asia-Pacific region who meet the specified qualifications.

• Open Division: Minimum drive distance of 280 yards
• Women’s Division (18+): Minimum drive distance of 240 yards
• Masters Division (Men 45+): Minimum drive distance of 260 yards

Prize Pool
A prize pool of $35,000 USD will be distributed among the participants. The champions of each division will be awarded the prestigious title of Asia Long Drive Champion.

Registration

Registration Period: September 20 – October 30, 2024
Entry Fee: $320 USD per division per player

All participants must be registered ALDA members to compete in ALDA events. Entry fees for the 2024 Asia Long Drive Championship must be paid at the time of registration. Once approved, the player’s name will be added to the official ALDA score sheet, which determines the hitting order for the competition. Players must also declare their division(s) during registration.

To complete registration, all players are required to book one of the official Travel Packages which include:

1. 2024 ALDA player membership fee

2. 2024 Championship entry fee

3. 4-night stay at Mission Hill Golf Resort Phuket (5-star) in a single or twin room, with daily breakfast (check-in on November 13, check-out on November 17, 2024)

4. Round-trip airport transfer

5. Daily transport between the hotel and competition venue

6. One 18-hole round at Mission Hill Golf Club, including shared cart, green fee, and caddie

7. Welcome dinner

8. Gift pack

Players have two options to register for the 2024 Asia Long Drive Championship:

Cancellation
Cancellations made on or before October 15, 2024, will receive a full refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made after this date.

Rules & Regulations

Field Size: The Open Division consists of 64 players.

Group Format: In each round, players are divided into groups of 16, based on the current world rankings.

Set Structure:

• Each player has two and a half minutes to hit six balls in a session referred to as a “set”.
• Players will complete five sets per round.
• The longest drive in each set is recorded to determine the player’s standing within their group.

Scoring Zone (Grid):

• For a shot to count, the ball must land within the designated “grid.”
• The grid measures between 45 to 60 yards wide and 420 to 450 yards long.

Round 1, 2, 3:

• These rounds are played over the first two days.
• The top eight players from each group advance to the next round.
• Round 1 reduces the field from 64 players to 32.
• Round 2 reduces the field from 32 to 16 players.
• Round 3 reduces the field from 16 to the final eight players.

Final Day – Quarterfinals to Finals:

• The quarterfinals onward are held on the final day of the tournament.
• From this stage, the competition follows a straight head-to-head knockout format until the champion is determined.

Equipment

Asia Long Drive Championship competitors must use a USGA-approved club, with a maximum length of 48 inches. Each player is allowed to use up to three golf clubs during the competition.
