Liuzhou, China — The Asia Long Drive Championship, the premier long-drive competition in the region, is set to make its long-awaited debut in China from November 6 to 8, 2025, at the Haiya Liujiang Bay International Golf Club in Liuzhou.
The official press conference was held this afternoon at the Wanda Realm Hotel, marking the official launch of the Championship’s first-ever China edition. The event was attended by representatives from the Asia Long Drive Association (ALDA), local government officials, sponsors, and players.

A Landmark Moment for Asian Power Golf
Since its founding in 2022, the Asia Long Drive Championship (ALDC) has become the continent’s highest stage for showcasing power, precision, and performance in the sport of long drive. Following successful editions in Thailand’s Phuket Island, the Championship’s arrival in China symbolizes a historic leap forward — both for the event and for China’s growing presence in the global long-drive community.
The 2025 Championship will bring together elite long-drive athletes from ten countries and regions across the Asia-Pacific, each vying for the prestigious title of “Asia Long Drive Champion.” Competitors will unleash their raw strength, refined technique, and unyielding mental toughness in a spectacular three-day battle of distance and control.
Team China: Home-Field Heroes Aim for Glory
As host nation, China will present its strongest lineup yet, selected through the 2025 China Long Drive Championship — the country’s official qualifying series.
Leading the charge are top talents including Wu Di, Yao Wentao, Mi Jiahe, Sun Jiangmeng, and Hu Zesen, all determined to keep the championship belt and the title of “Asia’s Long Drive King” on home soil.
Chinese players have shown growing international potential in recent years. At the 2024 Championship in Phuket, Hong Kong’s Hu Zesen made headlines by defeating defending champion Steffan Scutti of Australia with a 339-yard drive, while 16-year-old prodigy Quan Xiaoxiang reached 350 yards — an impressive display of China’s emerging long-drive power.
From Phuket to Liuzhou: A Journey of Strength and Spirit
The Asia Long Drive Association (ALDA) — founded jointly by the long-drive organizations of Japan, China, Australia, Thailand, and South Korea — is committed to advancing the sport across the continent.
The inaugural event in 2022 saw Australia’s Steffan Scutti set a record with a 403-yard drive in Phuket. Two years later, Japan’s Tomohiro Toyonaga captured the 2024 title with a winning 387-yard blast, highlighting Japan’s rising dominance in the sport.
Now, as the Championship heads to Liuzhou, China takes center stage — not only as a host but as a serious contender for regional supremacy.
A New Milestone for China’s Long-Drive Movement
Hosting the 2025 Asia Long Drive Championship represents far more than a sporting event. It’s a defining moment for China’s integration into the international long-drive landscape.
By connecting the China Long Drive Championship with the continental championship, China has built a complete development pathway — from grassroots training and national selection to international competition. This system will accelerate the sport’s professionalism domestically while inspiring a new generation of power golfers.
